I love the new Eskimo Joe’s Black Fingernails, Red Wine album. So when they announced their remix contest for the upcoming New York single, that was just another excuse for me to get back into something that I haven’t done for quite a while: making music. That and the fact that they made their track available in Pro Tools session format. Another excuse for me finally create something in Pro Tools.

By the end, it got quite frustrated - she crashed on me every 15 minutes, no exaggerating! Maybe 7.3 LE doesn’t like my outdated MBox. Maybe she doesn’t like FruityLoops (ermm, you did not hear me say FruityLoops, I was supposed to do everything in Pro Tools!!!). What came out was a progressive groovy house track. Kinda spacey actually. I’m quite happy with it, indeed I spent a good whole 3 days dancing to it in my lounge room.

Check it out and leave your thoughts! Also visit Eskimo Joe’s Space for the Original Mix, or watch it on the Tube.

Just so you know, I have been using some of your music in my podcasts. I *think* I’ve asked you about that in the past but I had a good listen to this remix and really like it. :) So I used it.
